Edward R. Smouha
track and field
A member of Great Britain's track and field team at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, Smouha ran the second leg in the 4x100-meter relay. After finishing second to Canada in their preliminary heat, the British team won the bronze medal by finishing with a time of 41.8 seconds; the U.S. finished first (41.0) with Germany capturing the silver medal (41.2), and Canada was disqualified.
