A two-time Olympian, Nosbaum was a member of France's four-with-coxswain team at the 1952 and 1960 Olympic Games (a coxwain directs and steers). At the 1952 Helsinki Olympics, Nosbaum and the French team won their preliminary heat with a time of 7:18.35 and automatically advanced to the semifinals. In their semifinal heat, the French team finished second with a time of 7:11.2, but because they did not win the heat, they had to compete in a repechage, where they finished in third place (7:09.4), and did not advance to the final.

Eight years later at the 1960 Rome Games, Nosbaum (with teammate Jean Klein), the French team placed third in their preliminary heat with a time of 6:46.75. In the repechage (a consolation race to advance to the semifinals), France won its heat in a time of 6:47.31. In the semifinals, they finished second to advance to the final, where they won the silver medal with a time of 6:41.62 (two seconds behind the Soviet Union).
