At the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, Pesakhovich was a member of the Israeli kayak team and competed in the K2 500-meter event with partner Lior Carmi. They finished sixth in their preliminary heat (1:48.647) and advanced to the semifinals. They did not advance to the finals after finishing fifth in their heat with a time of 1:48.120.

Career Highlights:
While competing for Russia, Pesakhovich finished first in the K2, and K4 at the 1991 Junior World Championships. She then emigrated to Israel after winning two bronze medals (in the K2 200 and K4 200) at the 1998 European Championships. While competing for Israel, she placed sixth in K2 200-meter and 500-meter at the 1999 European Championship, and sixth in the K2 500-meter race at the 2000 European Championships. In 2002, Larissa teamed with Adi Gafni and competed at the World Championships. In the 1,000-meter pairs event, they won the bronze medal.
