At the 1968 Mexico City Olympics, Levin was a member of the Israeli soccer team that reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth overall. The starting goalkeeper, Levin was instrumental in the Israeli's success at the Games. In their preliminary group, Israel defeated Ghana (5-3) and El Salvador (3-1), and lost to Hungary (2-0). They finished second in their group and advanced to the quarterfinals. In that game, they faced a tough Bulgarian team which had won their preliminary group, but Israel played well and tied the Bulgarians 1-1. Unfortunately for Israel, a coin toss was used to determine which team advanced to the semifinals and Bulgaria won the toss, and, eventually, the silver medal.
