Vinogradova was a member of the Soviet Union's women's volleyball team at two Olympiads in the 1960s. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the first time indoor volleyball was an Olympic event, the Soviets did not lose a set in the preliminary round, and defeated Romania, Korea, Poland, Hungary, and the United States. In the final set, the Soviet team lost to Japan, 3-0, and were awarded the silver medal.
