Gudina and her partner (and husband), b>Alexei Beletsky, represented Israel in the 2002 Salt Lake City Games in the ice dancing competition. Ranked in the top 25 in the world they joined Israel's first ice dancing team ((Galit Chait and Sergei Sakanovsky are ranked in the top five) at the Olympics. Beletsky and Gudina finished 19th overall.
Career Highlights:
Gudina, who began skating at the age of four, competed for Ukraine with partner Vitali Kurkudym in the mid-1990s. They finished third in the World Junior Championships in 1996 and fourth in the same competition the following year. In 1998, with her new partner (and husband) Alexei Beletsky, Gudina emigrated to Israel and began competing for her adopted country. After finishing fourth in Israel's National Championships in 1999, they placed second the next two years. In 2001, they also competed in major international competitions for the first time, placing 17th at the European Championships and 25th at the World Championships.
