Match played at City College of New York in the 1920s and is a member of the CCNY Athletic Hall of Fame.

Career Highlights:
Match played three seasons for CCNY in the mid-1920s under the great Nat Holman. During that time, the Beavers were one of the top teams in the country and Pinky was one of their best players. In 1923, City finished the season with a record of 12-1 and outscored their opponents 466-331 --their only loss that season was to Syracuse, 31-30 and they ended the year with 6 straight victories.

The following season, CCNY continued its success and won their first 12 games of the year. The season finale had the Beavers facing a tough NYU team, who snapped the Beavers' 18 game winning streak with a 28-24 win. CCNY finished the season 12-1 and rated as one of the top teams in the nation (there were no official polls until the late 1940s. In 1925, Match captained the CCNY team to a 12-2 record and was named All-America. The Beavers avenged the previous year's loss by beating NYU, 34-24.
