Edward A. Ronkin
Ronkin played college basketball for Maryland from 1930-32. As a junior in 1931, Ronkin helped Maryland win the Southern Conference Tournament by defeating Kentucky in the final. Kentucky was led by first-year coach, Hall of Famer, Adolph Rupp. Ronkin is a member of the University of Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame.

Career Highlights:
Ronkin was a three-year starter for Maryland in the early 1930s and teamed with All-America Louis – Bosey – Berger to lead the Terrapins to three straight winning seasons. After finishing 16-6 in 1930, the Terrapins improved to 18-4 during Ronkin's junior season (1931) and won the Southern Conference Tournament by defeating Kentucky in the final, 29-27 (avenging Kentucky's elimination of the Terrapins in the previous year's tourney). Ronkin, who scored seven points in the game (second on the team in Berger), was named All-Southern Conference and All-Southern Conference Tournament that year. In 1932, his senior season, the Terrapins finished 16-4.
