Career Highlights:
Ya'akosi came up through the Maccabi Ra'anana youth system and played his high school ball for Metrowest in his hometown. The youngster was promoted to the Maccabi first team in 1999, but only won a paltry amount of minutes in his first two years as a professional. In search of playing time, Mushon signed for second division club Hapoel Lev'Hasharon in 2001 and averaged 9.9 points per game. In 2002 he returned to the top division with lowly Elitzur Kiryat Ata, where he played 13 minutes per game and scored 3.1 points.

Mushon came to Fordham for the 2002-03 campaign but missed the early stages with a painful thumb injury. He started once that year and scored 3.1 points and climbed for 2.1 rebounds per game. The Israeli freshman tied for second highest number of blocks on the team with 12, despite playing only 10.3 minutes per game. Fordham suffered through a miserable 2-26 season.

Initially coming off the bench, Ya'akosi won the starting power forward spot six game into the 2003-04 season. The skilled rebounder contributed 6.5 points and claimed 7.2 rebounds per game, the second most boards on the team. He is also the best blocker on the team with 23 on the year. Mushon was ninth in rebounding and eleventh in shot blocks throughout the Atlantic 10 division. The Israeli arguably enjoyed his best performance of the year against Iona on December 23, 2003. Ya'akosi dropped in 14 points and claimed the same number of rebounds and added three steals as an afterthought. Fordham improved somewhat to a 6-22 record.
