A 6'6" forward in his senior year at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Buch is a capable free-throw shooter and is at his best shooting from the perimeter. During the 2004-05 regular season, he appeared in 29 games (started three) and averaged 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds.as the Knights finished with a record of 20-12 (13-5 in the Northeast Conference). In the first round of the NCAA tournament, the 16th seed Knights played played the No. 1 seed Illinois and held them close for much of the game (the score was 32-31 at half) before the Illini pulled away later and defeated the Knights, 67-55 - Buch played seven minutes and scored three points (making his only shot - a three-pointer).

Career Highlights:
The forward played his high-school ball at Ironi Tet School in Tel Aviv. Buch spent his freshman season of 2001-02 at Murray State College in Oklahoma. He played 16.3 minutes per game, contributing 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.

Gadi transferred to Fairleigh Dickinson in the 2002-03 season. He found his minutes cut, but was still a spirited contributor from the bench, playing 11.3 minutes while averaging 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. The Israeli forward enjoyed a fine performance against Long Island University on February 13 as he popped in 14 points and owned the glass with 12 rebounds for two career highs. The Knights went 15-14 for the season.

Buch was a more important factor in the Knights 2003-04 plans. His minutes were up to 18.2 per game and he enjoyed the second best free throw percentage on the team with 83.3% (25-30). The Tel Aviv native scored 6.2 points and took down 2.6 rebounds per game. On February 9, 2004, Gadi probably had his best game of the season against Monmouth University with 15 points and 8 boards. Fairleigh Dickinson improved to 17-12 on the year.
