Davey Adelman

Career Highlights:
Adelman began his career in the early 1920s and in September 1925, lost a ten-round decision to future world flyweight champion Panama Al Brown. Two years later, Davey lost in the third round on a technical knockout to flyweight champ Johnny McCoy (the flyweight title was disputed at this time, and McCoy was only recognized in California). By the following year, Adelman had moved up in weight class to bantamweight. In October 1928, Davey fought future champ Pete Sanstol to a draw in a six-round bout. In 1930, Adelman lost a ten-round decision to Hall of Famer Frankie Genaro, and a decision in his rematch with Sanstol. Adelman retired two years later.
