Four years later, Pearl fought Katsumi Morioka in Brooklyn and lost a four-round decision. Although records are sparce, Pearl continued to fight in the New York area for the rest of the decade. Among the boxers he fought were Sammy Venti, Mickey LaRosa, and Mike Raffa.
