Career Highlights:

Kashdan was known in Europe as "The Little Capablanca."

He played in six Olympiads as part of the U.S. team (1928-37), gaining his best results in 1928 when he scored 13 points out of 15, and in 1937 with 14 out 16.

Kashdan tied with Israel Horowitz for 1st place in the 1938 U.S. Championship.
He played on the U.S. Team that won the international championships of 1928, 1930, 1931, 1933, and 1937 and won the 1947 U.S. Open.

He was first editor of The Chess Review, which he co-founded with Horowitz.
