Kossack played tackle for Cornell in the early 1930s. In 1931, the Big Red had a record of 7-1-0 and outscored their opponents 239-20. In 1932, Kossack was named AP All-East honorable mention as Cornell ended the year 5-2-1. In 1933, Kossack repeated as AP All-East honorable mention and played in the North-South Game; the Big Red finished the season with a record of 4-3-0.
