Laurence Milton Frank

Frank played four seasons for the Commodores in the tough SEC in the 1950s. After struggling through three disappointing years between 1952-1954, when Vanderbilt had a combined record of 8-19-2, Frank helped lead them to a bowl game in 1955.

That year, Laurence was named captain of the football team and was selected UP All-Southeastern Conference second team, and AP All-Southeastern Conference third team. The Commodores finished the regular season with a record of 7-3-0. In the Gator Bowl, unranked Vanderbilt upset No. 8 Auburn, 25-13.
