Wilensky played three seasons for the USC Trojans, starting in 1934 when they went 4-6-1. The following year, he stepped into the starting line-up at guard as USC finished 5-7-0, including two victories in Hawaii over the Kamehameha Alumni and University of Hawaii. As a senior in 1936, Wilensky started again as the Trojans had the best season of his career, finishing with a record of 4-2-3, including ties with rivals UCLA and Notre Dame.
