Sid Kolker
Sidney Kolker
An offensive lineman at George Washington University in the 1930s, Kolker was named to the American Jewish World's Jewish All-America team in 1935. After graduating from GW, he went into the meat business and served as president of the Washington Beef and Provision Company. In 1963, he was elected president of the Greater Washington (D.C.) Food Wholesalers Association.

Growing up in Washington D.C., Kolker participated in a number of sports and boxed at the local JCC as a schoolboy. In high school at 'Tech,' he helped lead the football team win three consecutive city championships (1928-30) and was named to the Washington Post's All-High School team as a junior (1929) and senior (1930) - he captained the team as a senior. Kolker then attended George Washington University and played three seasons as a guard for the Colonials. During his sophomore season, Kolker helped lead GW to a record of 5-3-1. The following year, they finished 6-3-1. Then, in Kolker's senior season, GW finished 6-3-0 as he was named to the Washington Post's All-D.C. team.
