Dutch was a star back for Yale in 1905. Yale Magazine recalled that "old alumni still connect him with the phrase - '...the signal, give me the ball.' " Levine played at Yale only for one year because of academic difficulties.

Career Highlights:
In 1905, his only season at Yale, Dutch was selected to several All-Eastern teams. Against Harvard, Levine scored the only touchdown of the game as Yale defeated Harvard, 6-0, capping a perfect 10-0 season. It was the first unblemished season for the Bulldogs since 1894 and they allowed only four points all season.

Prior to entering Yale, Dutch played at Phillips Andover Academy and Colby College. After leaving Yale, Levine coached at Davidson College in 1908, Auburn University in 1909, and then led little Transylvania College to a 12-5 victory over Kentucky in 1911. From 1912-1916, he was the line coach at Holy Cross.
