Career Highlights:
David was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 4th round (84th pick overall) of the 1994 NHL Draft. After spending two successful years in the juniors in Canada, Nemirovsky got his chance with the Panthers during the 1995-96 season. He played in nine games and had two points, and Florida finished the season with a record of 41-31-10, heading to the Stanley Cup Finals in only the third year of the franchise's existence. In the Finals, the Panthers lost to the Colorado Avalanche, 4-0.
The following year, David divided his time between the Panthers and the minors, playing in 39 games and registering 14 points. The Panthers finished the year 35-28-19. Nemirovsky appeared in 3 playoff games and scored 1 goal and Florida lost in the first round of the playoffs. In 1997-98, Nemirovsky had his best season with the Panthers (24-43-15, out of the playoffs), appearing in 41 games and scoring nine goals, including one game-winner, and accumulating 12 assists -- all career highs. In 1998-99, Nemirovsky played in only two games and had one assist for the Toronto Maple Leafs before being sent to the minors, where he spent the rest of the season. David spent the entire 1999-2000 season in the AHL with the St. John's Maple Leafs, Toronto's affiliate.
