Career Highlights:
The tricky forward was a regular starter in his freshman year at Emory. Levine wasf eatured in the starting eleven 15 times, scoring six goals. Three of his goals were crucial match-winners.
By his sophomore year, Matthew was the star of the side. In 17 starts, he scored 12 goals while passing for 8 assists. He was selected to the 2001 All-Conference (UAA) First Team.
Levine reached a 16-goal tally in 17 starts during his 2002 Junior year. Furthermore he improved his link-up play and developed an impressive ability to drop back into midfield. He ended up with 9 assists to lead the team in both goals and assists. In September, 2002, he was named conference "Athlete of the Week" and Emory "Athlete of the Week" four times. Matthew was selected to the all-conference first team for the second time.
Levine's senior year was one of further success. He led the team with 15 goals in 17 starts. His all-around play was of sufficient caliber to guarantee the University Athletic Association's Player of the Year honors as he made the all-conference first team yet again.
